As many of you know, PUC has been operating for the past 14 months without an office administrator. This is an extraordinary feat – the tasks are many, varied and complex. A small group of valiant volunteers – the Office Ministry – rose to the occasion and have been “keeping the trains running on time” with a remarkable abundance of their time & talent. We all owe them deep gratitude and thanks for the countless (and I do mean countless) hours of time spent both in and outside the office to enable the continued functioning of PUC business. We all owe our thanks to:
Gary Hart – Office Ministry Volunteer Coordinator
Each was already a very active PUC volunteer and took on this responsibility out of a commitment to this congregation and what our community means in people's lives. The next time you see them, please take a moment to thank them for their extraordinary efforts.
As a result of the fiscal year 2015-2016 congregation-approved budget, we just hired a half-time temporary office administrator from an employment agency to get us started with an eye towards filling the role more permanently. We welcome Gaberiel Gaynair (she prefers to be called Gabby) to the PUC staff. Once our Interim Minister James Ford gets on campus and we have an opportunity to collaborate, we’ll publish office operating hours. There is a lot to learn and many folks to learn from, so we ask for your patience & understanding until Gabby gets her feet underneath her. Thanks to Kim Gosney, our Acting Chief of Staff for leading this effort and engaging with the employment agency, and who along with Gary Hart, interviewed many candidates until they found the right fit.
